The German striker will reportedly join the Turkish champions for £1.4 million.
Lukas Podolski has struggled to settle since his arrival at The Emirates three years ago despite managing a credible return of 31 goals in 82 appearances over two and half seasons.
He joined Inter on loan for the second half of last season but failed to deliver the goods, scoring just the once in 18 outings.
Arsene Wenger seems to no longer view him as part of his plans and reports have emerged from Turkish newspaper Aksam that a deal has been agreed between Galatasaray and Arsenal for the striker’s transfer.
The reported fee of £1.4 million seems a tad on the low side but considering Podolski is in the final year of his contract and his position at Arsenal appears to be untenable, it could well be a deal that suits all parties.
The career of what was once one of Germany’s brightest young talents appears to have veered off course considerably and he has never quite been able to replicate the form shown in his earlier years at FC Koln.
