Anderlecht want between £12 million and £15m as transfer fee to sell Newcastle United target Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer, according to The Daily Mail.
Newcastle are looking for a striker in the summer transfer market and have reportedly identified the 20-year-old as a suitable addition.
According to The Sun, both Swansea City and Southampton are looking to snap up the Mitrovic.
It has now been reported by The Daily Mail that to do so, they will have to cough up at least £12m.
Interestingly, the British newspaper have also claimed that Swansea have held further talks with the youngster.
“Swansea, who have appointed James Beattie as assistant to Garry Monk, have held further discussions about a deal for Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, the 20-year-old who is also a target for Newcastle,” states the report. “Anderlecht want £12m to £15m for the Serbia international.”
Mitrovic has shown his potential by scoring in the Belgian domestic league and in Europe, and signing him - at the right price - would be a good move.
However, £12m looks rather steep for a young player who has no Premier League experience.
Newcastle would be better off trying to look for more established strikers, even if they have to pay a bit more.
