Warburton was named as new manager of Rangers, with David Weir returning to Ibrox as his assistant.
Coming off his successful spell with Brentford, Rangers have pulled off something of a coup by securing Warburton, and there is a real excitement that he can be the coach to see the Gers back into the top flight.
He plays progressive football, with a real focus upon youth development, and despite little experience of professional management, he proved at Brentford that he could bring success on a budget.
Warburton’s reign in charge of rangers promises to be a forward thinking time for the club, and he starts his spell at Ibrox looking to win promotion to the Premiership.
He has some major work to complete in the transfer market if he is to build a competitive squad, but his credentials speak for themselves.
Following the confirmation of Warburton’s appointment, Rangers fans took to Twitter to express their pleasure with the hiring of the talented coach, with the overall feeling of delight bringing a real sense of hope to Ibrox.

@RangersFC I like the way Warburton talks about the youth, he is focused on bringing through young players but they need to be good enough.— Douglas Kinnear (@Dougiek85) June 15, 2015
