Next Sheffield Wednesday manager betting update.
The race to become the next Sheffield Wednesday manager could be about to take a new twist.
Odds on Swindon Town boss Mark Cooper to be named Stuart Gray's replacement have been slashed over the past 24 hours.
Early yesterday he was out at 33/1, and has since seen his price cut to just 3/1, as per Oddschecker.
He is second favourite, with Portuguese coach Carlos Carvahal odds on at 1/4, with The Sun reporting over the weekend he would be named manager.
Cooper was almost managing in the Championship himself this season, leading Swindon to the League One play-off final, before they were wiped out by Preston North End.
He has since see star midfielders Massimo Luongo and Ben Gladwin sold to QPR, and faces a rebuilding job ahead of next season.
The challenge at Sheffield Wednesday would be different, with new chairman Dejphon Chansiri expecting promotion to the Premier League, and promising investment.
Third favourite for the role is John Sheridan at 5/1, followed by Paul Lambert and Sam Allardyce, both at 16/1.
