Heiburg takes over from Graham Halliday who has been appointed to the newly created role of Front Office Chief Operating Officer (COO), Front Office at Mizuho International.
Heiburg has joined Mizuho International plc from Nordea, where he was Head of Fixed Income Trading covering Rates products since 2009. Prior to his career at Nordea, Heiburg spent eight years in a variety of trading roles at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB).

Heiburg will be responsible for managing Rates, Credit and non-Yen trading and will partner with Nicolas Pourcelet, Head of Fixed income Sales in defining the risk strategy of each business line with a view to further enhancing the investment bank’s growing client franchise.
