Manchester United fans react to reports of a £13m De Gea bid

David Gea saves against Sunderland

United supporters were unimpressed to say the least...

If Manchester United fans have come to accept the fact David De Gea will leave for Real Madrid this summer, they would have at least expected a big fee.

The Spaniard isn't guaranteed to leave Old Trafford, of course, but Real Madrid's reported interest has been heavy.

But the Daily Mail's report that Madrid have started the bidding for the Manchester United goalkeeper at just £13 million left supporters furious on Twitter.

Indeed, not only will United be losing their star player with such a bid - they wouldn't be getting very much in return for him at all. The key phrase used by the Mail is that this is a starter bid from the Spanish giants.

Manchester United fans, however, remain unimpressed to say the least. With the Daily Telegraph reporting that Chelsea want no less than £73m for Thibaut Courtois, it'll be interesting to see how much De Gea does eventually go for should he leave United.

Supporters will no doubt be hoping it's a lot more than £13m... Here's how the Manchester United faithful responded to the reports on social media:
