Former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Queens Park Rangers striker Jay Bothroyd has taken to social networking site Twitter to have his say on the so-called controversy surrounding Jack Grealish at the moment.
The Aston Villa attacker has been the subject of tabloid stories over the past few days after an unsavoury photo of him emerged while on holiday in Tenerife.
In the photo, which was published by The Mirror, the 19-year-old was seen passed out on the street after a drunken night out.
Villa will hold talks with the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international over the incident, according to talkSPORT.
Bothroyd, though, believes that too much is being made of the photo, and does not think that Grealish should be punished.
Every teenager has had a drunken night out, he'll live and learn, he shouldn't get castrated for teenage behavior! This news is a joke— Jay bothroyd (@jaybothroyd) June 16, 2015
Grealish is only a teenager and was having fun, but perhaps it is right of Villa to remind him that he is now in the public spotlight.
The youngster needs to understand that he will have to be careful of what he does in public from now on.
