Tottenham Hotspur appear to have more competition in their chase for a Barcelona defender.
The 24-year-old currently plays for Barcelona, but as reported by Sky Sports Tottenham are said to be monitoring the player who has a €12million release-clause in his contract.
That equates to around £8.6million and would represent great value for money for a player who is highly-rated at the Nou Camp.
However, it is now being reported that Porto are keen on bringing him to the Primeira Liga, a year after first identifying him as a potential target.
That could be an issue for Tottenham, with Porto able to offer the player Champions League football next season and a regular challenge for the Portuguese title.
Bartra has been at Barcelona his entire career and has appeared 79 times for the first-team to date. Prior to that he played 51 times for the club’s B team and he has also represented his country on five occasions.
The Spanish side are said to be keen on keeping the player but with the ongoing speculation it seems he has plenty of options if he does move on, with Tottenham only one potential destination.
