Woods is one of the best in the industry in his role, and has previously worked at Everton, Manchester United and with the United States national team.
Former West Ham midfielder Hutchison is delighted to see the London outfit bring in Woods, and seems to suggest that he will be a success working with the club’s new manager Slaven Bilic.
Terrific appointment.Ive worked with Chris before at Everton http://t.co/jk0c9e4lAJ— Don Hutchison (@donhutch4) June 15, 2015
Woods has replaced Bobby Mimms, who is one of four coaches who have left the club.
Assistant manager Neil McDonald, who has become Blackpool new manager, first-team coach Ian Hendon - now the Leyton Orient boss - and head of recruitment Martyn Glover have all moved on.
It seems that Bilic is keen on bringing in his own backroom staff, as he looks to make an immediate impact at the Boleyn Ground.
