Celtic, Rangers fans react to reports Danny Wilson could move to Ibrox

The former Hearts defender was linked with a move to Celtic - but may now return to Rangers.

Former Hearts defender Danny Wilson, who left the club on a free transfer this summer, had been linked with a move to Scottish champions for some time.

The former Rangers man left Ibrox for Liverpool, before then joining Hearts. Now, however, it appeared a third Scottish club was on the horizon for the 23-year-old. The Daily Mail, among others, suggested Celtic were seriously interested in Wilson.

But, since Mark Warburton's unveiling as Rangers boss, reports have emerged that Wilson could return to the Gers, his first club. The Scottish Sun reported the news, as well as the Daily Record, and it has caused quite a stir in both the Celtic and Rangers camps.

Wilson is a Celtic fan but could snub the Bhoys for a return to Ibrox. Would the 23-year-old be a good signing for Rangers? And would the Hoops be missing out?

There have been several different reactions on Twitter, with some Rangers fans delighted, some disappointed. The same, meanwhile, goes for the Celtic faithful. Here's how the two sets of fans took the news on social media:
