Report: Arsenal and Spurs face fresh competition for alleged targets Kondogbia and Martial

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with moves for Monaco’s star players.

According to fresh reports from Sky Sports Italia, Serie A champions Juventus have sent an emissary to Monaco in order to start talks over a number of potential deals.

Among the names listed are defensive midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia and talented striker Anthony Martial, two players heavily linked with North London duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners are keen on bolstering their midfield ranks this summer and Kondogbia has been sounded out as the ideal man, The Sun reporting a £25 million bid could be imminent.

French outlet France Football went further in regards to Spurs and Martial, claiming the White Hart Lane outfit last week had agreed to a transfer fee in the region of €25 million.

Such rumours, however, have yet to be confirmed or denied and the North London duo could face the prospect of a new competitor for their targets’ signatures if fresh reports are to be believed.

“Marotta and Paratici, the two directors in charge of transfer moves, are heading to Montecarlo in the next few hours. Juventus has been interested in midfielder Kondogbia, who is also being followed closely by Milan. But there could be other targets including Fabinho, Martial and Abdennour,” the report says.

22-year-old Kondogbia in particular is likely to have a number of suitors following his wonderful campaign at Monaco, especially considering the market for a top defensive midfielder.

The full French international favours well compared to Arsenal’s Francis Coquelin, a difficult task when taking into account the former Charlton Athletic loan star’s impact last season.

With speculation over Paul Pogba’s future in Turn rife, it comes as little surprise to see Juventus linked with Kondogbia and it only further highlights the player’s ability to attract Europe’s elite clubs
