Tottenham will reportedly not sell Harry Kane even if a major bid arrives this summer

Tottenham Hotspur have no intention of parting company with their crown jewel according to the latest report.

According to a report from ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will not be sold this summer regardless of what offers come their way.

Manchester United have been linked with a £40million bid for the 21-year-old, but ESPN say they have been told by sources that Tottenham will not sanction a move for Kane, even if what they call a ‘major bid’ comes in for him.

That will be music to the ears of Spurs fans who are likely to have taken the initial claims of a potential summer exit with a pinch of salt anyway, especially after Kane signed a new long-term contract at the club and having proved to be their key player with 31 goals last season.

Tottenham are likely to wave goodbye to some players this summer, with a selection of fringe players potentially seeking pastures new having featured rarely in the final few months of manager Mauricio Pochettino’s first season in charge.

But what Spurs need to do is build around their star names not sell their best players regardless of the fee involved.
