Former Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has landed in Seville and will sign a contract with Real Betis today, according to AS.
The Madrid-based Spanish sports paper posted the following message and picture on social networking site Twitter on Sunday evening.
Van der Vaart is on the books of Hamburg at the moment, but his current contract with the German clubs runs out at the end of the month.
This means that the Netherlands international will join Betis as a free agent and will cost no transfer fee.
Hamburg endured a tough 2014-15 campaign and had to feature in a relegation playoff to retain their Bundesliga status for next season.
Meanwhile, Betis won the Segunda Division title in the recently concluded 2014-15 campaign and will feature in La Liga next season.
Van der Vaart, who is 32 years of age, played for Premier League outfit Tottenham for two years from 2010 to 2012 and was a popular figure among the fans.
