Liverpool fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the performance of Raheem Sterling for England against Slovenia on Sunday evening.
The 20-year-old winger started the Euro 2016 Group E qualifier at Stadion Stozice in Ljubljana and played for the entire 90 minutes.
Sterling was heavily involved in the opening minutes of the encounter, lifting a good chance over the bar and seeing a shot deflect just wide.
The youngster worked hard and tried his tricks while drifting in from the left, and gave a good account of himself against Slovenia.
Despite failing to score, Sterling was an important figure in England’s 3-2 victory over Slovenia away from home.
The win means that the Three Lions are now at the top of Group E with 18 points from six matches, as many as six points ahead of Switzerland, who are second at the moment.
