Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at England’s win against Slovenia on Sunday evening.
The Three Lions defeated Slovenia 3-2 in the Euro 2016 Group E qualifier at Stadion Stozice in Ljubljana.
Wilshere started the encounter and featured for the entire 90 minutes, proving to be a key player for England in the process.
The 23-year-old scored twice for Roy Hodgson’s side, first in the 57th minute and then in the 73rd minute.
The Arsenal star produced an outstanding display overall, arguably his best in an England shirt.
Following the win, Wilshere took to Twitter to post the following message:
England are now set to qualify for the 2016 European Championships in style.
The Three Lions are currently at the top of Group E with 18 points from six matches, as many as six points clear of Switzerland, who are second at the moment.
