Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the performance of Andros Townsend for England against Slovenia on Sunday evening.
The 23-year-old winger started the Euro 2016 Group E qualifier at Stadion Stozice in Ljubljana and played until the 74th minute, when he was substituted by Arsenal forward Theo Walcott.
Townsend struggled to make an impact during his time on the pitch, although he did try a shot and provided a cutback for Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney.
The winger struggled to get regular playing time at Tottenham in the recently concluded 2014-15 campaign.
The Englishman scored two goals and created 13 chances in 17 Premier League appearances.
Townsend had a pass accuracy of 81% and a shot accuracy of 67%, and won one header, 14 dribbles and 20 tackles.
The win against Slovenia means that the Three Lions are now at the top of Group E with 18 points from six matches, as many as six points ahead of Switzerland, who are second at the moment.
Following the victory, Tottenham fans took to Twitter to have their say on the performance of Townsend.
