The French international looks set to be on the move this summer.
Crystal Palace are reportedly in the race for a new goalkeeper this summer. Wayne Hennessy is being linked with a move away this summer whilst Julian Speroni is no spring chicken.
It is now being reported that the man they want to eventually take the mantle from the Argentine is French international Steve Mandanda.
They also carried these quotes from Mandanda, who seems keen on a move to the Premier League this summer:
"I am not more advanced. I await the end of the meeting to discuss with President [Vincent] Labrune and whether the coach is counting on me. For eight years I am at Marseille, I'm fine, but I also aspire to see something else in sport and for a private level."
Mandanda was recently linked with Tottenham Hotspur, but he would not be keen on battling with compatriot Hugo Lloris on two fronts.
Palace clearly have ambitions under Alan Pardew. He wants to take the side to Europe and a top-class keeper would be a step in the right direction.
They are also said to be after another French international, former Newcastle United player Yohan Cabaye.
Both signatures would be welcomed at Palace and would be a massive signal of intent for the future.
