Former England boss Glenn Hoddle gave his view on the Three Lions' hard fought win over Slovenia last night.
England won the game 3-2 thanks to a late goal from Wayne Rooney, and an impressive earlier brace from Jack Wilshere, his first goals for his country.
Ex-Spurs player and boss Hoddle gave particular mention to the Arsenal midfielder, before commenting that Roy Hodgson's side still have room to improve.
Great Game ! Very Entertaining after the Ireland game. Wilshire fantastic two Strikes , Still need to improve Defensively for Euros— Glenn Hoddle (@GlennHoddle) June 14, 2015
From a points perspective England could not be doing much better than they have been, with six wins from a possible six in qualifying so far, and opening up a nine points lead in Group E.
Only Slovakia in Group C also have a 100 per cent record, and England's qualifying status for the tournament looks assured.
As fans have come to know however, a smooth qualifying campaign counts for little when the finals come around. England have only conceded three goals in six games, but watching Phil Jones in defence is enough to make the most ardent fan nervous.
