Galatasaray confirm interest in West Ham and West Brom-linked Andre-Pierre Gignac

Galatasaray are interested in West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion-linked Andre-Pierre Gignac.

Galatasaray are interested in signing Andre-Pierre Gignac this summer, the Turkish club’s manager Hamza Hamzaoglu has been quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.

Gignac is on the books of Marseille at the moment, but his current contract with the French outfit runs out at the end of the month.

Hamzaoglu has also revealed Galatasaray’s interest in signing Germany international forward Lukas Podolski from Premier League giants Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

“Podolski and Gignac are both on our shortlist,” The Daily Mail quotes Hamzaoglu as saying. “We have not yet entered direct talks.”

Hamzaoglu’s revelation that France international striker Gignac is on the radar of Galatasaray will come as a blow to Premier League duo West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion.

According to The Daily Mail, West Brom have made an offer for the services of the 29-year-old striker, while The Mirror reported of West Ham’s interest in the former Toulouse man earlier this month.

However, Galatasaray could be a bigger attraction to Gignac than West Brom or West Ham, especially as they are certain of a place in the group stage of the Champions League next season.
