Fans react on Twitter to departing Leeds United star Rodolph Austin's Copa America performance

The Jamaica captain went up against Uruguay last night.

Jamaica were unfortunate last night not to come away with more from their first ever Copa America game with Uruguay.

The Reggae Boyz, whose team had plenty of English interest, lost 1-0 after Cristian Rodriguez scored in the second half.

They had chances in the game and certainly equipped themselves well , but in the end just came up short.

One set of fans who would have watched with intrigue would have been Leeds United supporters.

Leeds recently released Rodolph Austin, the Jamaican's contract expiring at the end of this month. He happens to be the national team captain of Jamaica so is certainly getting some time to enjoy his football before hunting for a new club.

However, his performance was not exactly breath taking.

Austin's passing throughout was poor and his set pieces frustrating. He continued to hit the first man and Jamaican fans were rightly exasperated at his efforts.

He is the captain but there are some Jamaican fans calling for Austin to get yanked from the starting line-up for their next game.

Austin will hope to perform much better throughout the competition in order to put him in the shop window.

Here is how some fans reacted on Twitter to his performance...
