Real Sociedad are keen to get a decision from Arsenal, having made a firm offer for Costa Rican international, Joel Campbell. Now it appears the 22-year-old also wants to have his future resolved swiftly.
Pushing hard for a decision, David Moyes already has already had direct talks with Arsene Wenger, whilstReal Sociedad sporting director Lauren also held conversations with the player and his agent, Joaquim Batica, following the friendly match in Leon between Spain and Costa Rica.
Demonstrating that he likewise wants a decision taken soon, according to Spanish radio network Cadena SER, Campbell has now held a telephone conversation with Wenger, wishing to clarify the stance of his manager and Arsenal, because he doesn't want things to drag out over the whole summer.
Arsenal aren't believed to be in any particular rush to make a final decision, despite it being seemingly clear that they will sell Campbell. At present, the suggestions are that the Premier League club are simply weighing up their options very carefully.
Amongst those options, lies the possibility that Arsenal could want to utilise Campbell as a bargaining chip, as they make bids for other players, or wait until they receive a better offer than the €6 million reportedly bid by Real Sociedad.
Whatever the case may be, the player doesn't want any further uncertainty as to where he'll be playing next season, of for things to take any longer than they need to. Particularly given his apparent indications to Real Sociedad, are that he's happy with the project and terms they have offered.
