Here is how England will line up for their match against Slovenia this weekend including players from Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal among others.
England starting XI: Hart, Jones, Cahill, Smalling, Gibbs, Henderson, Wilshere, Delph, Townsend, Sterling, Rooney
England subs: Green, Bertrand, Walcott, Jagielka, Milner, Lallana, Austin, Cleverley, Barkley, Vardy, Clyne, Heaton
England finish their season with a Euro 2016 qualifying match against Slovenia later today, with the Three Lions currently six points clear of their latest opponents in Group E.
A win for Roy Hodgson’s side and they will pull nine points clear at the top of the group with six games played and a place at next summer’s tournament all but certain; not that England will be taking their opponents for granted.
In total England have played nine matches – a mixture of qualifying games and friendlies – this season and they are yet to be defeated.
Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney will again be hoping to equal Bobby Charlton’s goal-scoring record with a brace this weekend but individual honours are far less important than ensuring another three points for the team.
The United star plays up front while his Old Trafford teammates Phil Jones and Chris Smalling also start; as do Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling, who will be looking to put in a good performance and silence his recent critics in the process.
It remains to be seen if Sterling will be at Liverpool next season, but for now he is a Reds player and he should do them proud.
