Celtic fans react as Ikechi Anya and Steven Fletcher feature for Scotland

Two alleged Celtic targets featured for Scotland in their 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland.

Scotland rescued a point at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday evening as they drew 1-1 with the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.

In a crucial European Championship qualifying match, Gordon Strachan's Tartan Army headed to the Emerald Isle in a hostile encounter.

Ireland took the lead when Jonathan Walters converted from close range, and despite being offside, the goal was given. After the break, Shaun Maloney's deflected shot beat Shay Given to hand Scotland a share of the spoils.

Celtic fans were obviously keen to tune in and saw club captain Scott Brown start the game alongside Bhoys team-mate Charlie Mulgrew, though many turned their attention to two possible transfer targets.

Reports from The Mirror and The Daily Mail have recently suggested that the Bhoys have an interest in Watford's Ikechi Anya and Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher. Both played against Ireland on Saturday, so what did Celtic fans make of the duo?

Fletcher struggled to get into the game and not only prompted Celtic fans to urge manager Ronny Deila not to sign the forward, but pose why he even starts for Scotland ahead of Celtic star Leigh Griffiths.

Conversely, winger Anya came on as a substitute and was bright, using his pace to trouble the Ireland defence in an impressive cameo - with calls for Celtic to snap him up quickly.

Here are some of the reactions from Twitter as Anya and Fletcher featured for Scotland against Ireland on Saturday evening...
