The SC Braga defender has recently been out on loan with Academica.
Sheffield Wednesday are now looking to improve ahead of next season's Championship campaign, something they will have to do without their manager from last season.
Wednesday decided to relieve Stuart Gray from his position as manager this summer and they are now keen on bringing in new playing recruits.
The 24-year-old centre-back is a product of the SC Braga youth team and has come to the fore during a two-year loan spell at Academica.
It is his form with the latter club, for whom he played 15 times last season before breaking his leg in February.
Now back to fitness it seems that Sheffield Wednesday are keen on bringing the former Portugal under-21 international to the club from Braga.
He would join countryman Jose Semedo at Hillsborough and according to the report Sheffield Wednesday have already offered him a deal. He would cost a fee, as his contract at Braga expires in the summer of 2016.
