The Moroccan has been in great form in the Turkish Super Lig.
Back in April Celtic were linked with the signature of Sivasspor attacker Aatif Chahechouhe. It was reported by The Herald that The Bhoys were keen on bringing in the player last summer after an excellent campaign in Turkey's Super Lig.
They even quoted a price-tag of around £2 million.
Now it is believed that the race to sign Chahechoue is hotting up, with Celtic in the mix. Fotomac recently reported that Trabzonspor and Bordeaux were the main competitors with Celtic for the player.
Now a far bigger fish to fry is in the mix, according to reports in Italy.
They claim that talks are already underway regarding his move to Naples and that he will cost in advance of €5 million, as Sivasspor rejected a bid from Russia of that amount just last month.
Chahechouhe has been a revelation in Turkey this season.
Born in France, he failed to make the grade at the likes of Sedan and Nancy before making a name for himself in Bulgarian football with Chernomorets Burgas. He joined Sivasspor in 2014 and has gone on to score a hat-full of goals in Turkish football. This season he netted 13, putting him among the topscorers in the league.
Celtic are after a new striker, as they appear to be content on not signing John Guidetti permanently from his loan spell from Manchester City.
It remains to be seen whether Chahechouhe will be that man.
