Wales players have taken to social networking site Twitter to express their delight at the 1-0 win against Belgium in a Euro 2016 qualifier at home on Friday evening.
Chris Coleman’s side defeated Belgium 1-0 in Group B at the Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff.
Former Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale, currently at Spanish giants Real Madrid, scored the only goal of the encounter in the 25th minute.
It was the 25-year-old former Southampton star’s fifth goal in six qualifying games and took Wales closer to qualification for the 2016 European Championship.
Over the course of the 90 minutes in Cardiff, Wales had just 35% of the possession, took six shots of which two were on target and earned one corner.
In contrast, Belgium had 65% of the possession, took 18 shots of which only one was on target and earned nine corners.
The win against Belgium means that Wales are now three points clear at the top of Group B with 14 points from six matches.
