Former Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur attacker Rohan Ricketts has taken to social networking site Twitter to state that he plans to come back to England later this year.
Ricketts is currently on the books of Hong Kong Premier League outfit Eastern Sports Club, but it seems that he is yearning for a return to his homeland.
The 31-year-old last played in England in 2008 for Barnsley, and he is hoping to join an English club in 2015.
Crazy how leaving ENGLAND in 2008 put me right out of sight out of mind of English clubs. Looking to possibly come back and play this year.— Rohan Ricketts (@RohanRicketts) June 12, 2015
Ricketts is one of the most famous footballing journeymen, and has played for clubs in England, Canada (Toronto FC are a Canadian team playing in Major League Soccer), Hungary, Moldova, Germany, the Republic of Ireland, India, Ecuador and Thailand.
Eastern are Ricketts’ 14th club, and it seems that they will not be his last.
It is highly unlikely that the attacker will find a club in the Premier League, and it will be a surprise if a Championship team offers him a deal.
