Report: Spurs hierarchy to take strong stance over Hugo Lloris

The Manchester United target will reportedly not be allowed to leave White Hart Lane at any cost.

The Tottenham Hotspur hierarchy will take a strong stance on Manchester United target Hugo Lloris this summer, according to the London Evening Standard.

Indeed, the Standard suggest the Frenchman's wishes are to leave Spurs for a Champions League club - Manchester United have been heavily linked.

But Daniel Levy and co will avoid the drama of the Luka Modric saga and take a strong stance over Lloris, whatever the offer that comes in for him.

That means the Tottenham board will be prepared to reject the 28-year-old's wishes outright and make sure he stays in north London.

Spurs were unable to persuade Modric to stay at White Hart Lane, with the same going for Gareth Bale. Both stars left for Real Madrid. Lloris, however, will have to wait if he truly desires a move to Manchester United, as per the Standard. Although they do speculate that Levy's resolve will be hugely tested should United want their man.

The 28-year-old has shone since moving to the Premier League with Tottenham and is easily one of the club's standout stars. Will his head be turned enough to try and force a move, though?
