Micah Richards will complete his move to Aston Villa next week, according to The Sun.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that the England international defender is currently on holiday and will be back next week.
The 26-year-old will then undergo a medical and complete the formalities, as reported by The Sun.
Richards is on the books of Manchester City at the moment, but he will be out of contract at the end of the month.
According to a report in The Mirror on Thursday, Richards has decided to join Villa on a free transfer.
It has been reported by the British newspaper that the Englishman has snubbed a £90,000-a-week offer from Sunderland to sign for Villa.
Newcastle United are also interested in the services of Richards, according to The Northern Echo.
Richards has been on the books of City since 2001, but in recent years he has struggled with injuries and is no longer guaranteed playing time.
In fact, the right-back played on loan for Italian club Fiorentina during the recently concluded 2014-15 season.
