Manchester United media round-up: United tipped to move for expensive striker

Old Trafford 2

A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester United.

The Daily Star is reporting that Manchester United are ready to make a bid to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham.

Kane has been one of the highest scoring Premier League forwards across all competitions over the last 11 months.

United will have to pay a top premium to sign him if reports of their interest are accurate, as he signed a new Spurs deal last season.

Goal.com reports that Turkish club Galatasaray have rejected claims of a Manchester United approach for Muslera.

United seem to be covering all angles in terms of finding a new goalkeeper, with it now seeming likely that David De Gea will move to Real Madrid.

However, the 28-year-old is likely to stay where he is for the forthcoming season.

The Independent has reported that Manchester City have fired the opening shots in the race to sign Raheem Sterling from Liverpool.

The Anfield club are thought to have rejected a £30 million offer, with Manchester United also reported to be one of the clubs interested.

However, it would be difficult for United to achieve any deal considering the rivalry which exists between the sides.
