Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: James McCarthy puts Spurs on red alert

A round up of morning news stories related to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Mirror claims Tottenham have been put on red alert over Everton midfielder James McCarthy.

The paper claims that the Toffees player has become unsettled at Goodison Park and is eager for a move away.

McCarthy is thought to be annoyed over Tom Cleverley’s wage deal being twice as high as his own, following the latter’s move to the club on a permanent basis from Manchester United.

The Daily Mail has reported that Tottenham have ruled out a deal to sign Yannick Bolasie from Crystal Palace.

Spurs were thought to be keen on the aggressive winger according to the paper, but will now reportedly focus their efforts on other transfer signings.

The paper also claims that Tottenham will not be making a move for Giannelli Imbula.

The Daily Mirror has reported that Jack Wilshere has accepted a charge of misconduct from the FA after chants he led about Tottenham Hotspur.

The Arsenal midfielder led chants against Tottenham following his side’s FA Cup final win against Aston Villa.

Wilshere and the Gunners have since publicly apologised for the incident.
