Rotherham United have signed former Leeds winger Aidy White.
Rotherham United announced this week on their official website they have secured the free agent signing of Aidy White.
White became the Millers first addition of the transfer window, having left behind Yorkshire rivals Leeds United.
The 23-year-old winger is a bright prospect, but his career has been hampered by injuries.
Despite being much admired by former Leeds head coach Neil Redfearn, White was unable to feature for the majority of the 2014/15 season.
He made only one appearance, in the final game of the season, when he came off the bench against his new side Rotherham.
Rotherham reportedly beat off late competition from Sheffield United, per The Sun, for White's signature.
The winger may not have featured much last season, but has experience playing against Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham over the years, when drawn against Leeds in cup competition, having made his debut for the club at just 16.
White can play at both left-back and left-midfield, and if he recaptures his best form he could be a smart addition for Steve Evans' side.
Rotherham fans took to Twitter after the news was announced to give their view on the signing, with varying reactions. Here is a look at what they had to say...
If we've signed that Aidy White then it's not very inspiring and no better than Ben Pringle. Big risk as well hardly played last year. #rufc— Cal (@cal_howis) June 9, 2015
Who do some fans really expect us to be signing? Aidy White sounds a solid signing for the most part, worth a chance in my opinion #rufc— Chunky (@danny_ardron) June 10, 2015
Decent signing! Not much to lose signing Aidy White. 1 year contract, give him chance to prove himself and his fitness #rufc— KCM North Stand (@KCM_north_stand) June 10, 2015
Good luck to Aidy White got my doubts but hopefully he can do well for us #rufc— Cal (@cal_howis) June 10, 2015
I was impressed with White when he came on against #rufc. Looked like he had pace and could beat a man which was absent last season.— Jonathan Veal (@jonathandveal83) June 10, 2015
