Report: West Ham boss Bilic may return to Besiktas for Olcay Sahan

West Ham Upton Park

The new West Ham manager is already setting about his work in the transfer market.

New West Ham manager Slaven Bilic may return to former club Besiktas for winger Olcay Sahan, according to NTVSpor.

The former Hammer was confirmed as Sam Allardyce’s replacement earlier this week and will surely have set about identifying players he wants to bring to Upton Park.

And one of them could be his former Besitkas star Sahan, as Bilic looks to make the Hammers a more attacking unit in the Premier League.

The winger played in all but four of his side's league games last season, as well as appearing in all 10 of their Europa League games. He was in fine form as well, scoring nine times and registering 11 assists in his 48 appearances in all competitions.

It is believed it would cost as much as €10 million, around £7.3 milllion, to secure the player, who cost the Turkish side €1.3 million back in 2012 and has three years remaining on his current deal.

It would be a sensible move from Bilic should it come off, as the Hammers are currently short on wingers in their squad, with Stewart Downing having been employed in a more central role last season. It would also give him an ally in the dressing room, a useful component for any new manager.
