Photos: Tottenham Hotspur flop Paulinho back at his old club Corinthians

The Brazilian international went to visit old friends yesterday.

It would be fair to say that Tottenham midfielder Paulinho is not currently having the best of times. After another poor season at White Hart Lane the Brazilian international's future is now being cast into doubt.

To make matters worse he has now lost his place in the Brazilian squad and will play no part at the Copa America in Chile, which gets underway this evening.

With that in mind there is no wonder why he might be using his current time off to remember better times.

Yesterday, that involved a visit to former club Corinthians. Paulinho left Corinthians for Tottenham in July 2013.

Spurs beat several big clubs to secure his signature, for a fee reported to be in the £17 million region by the BBC.

Yesterday he was snapped back at the club, watching training and generally relaxing along with fellow former Corinthians player Dentinho, currently with Shakhtar Donetsk.

The pictures, taken by club photographers, certainly seemed to show him in good spirits.

He has recently been linked with a move back to Brazil. It was reported by Falando de Flamengo last month that Flamengo were aiming to raise the funds necessary to bring Paulinho back to Brazil.
