A round up of morning news stories related to Manchester United.

The Daily Star has reported that Manchester United are demanding Karim Benzema as part of any deal to take David De Gea to Real Madrid.

The Old Trafford number one has long since been rumoured to be heading back to Spain, with United keen to get a player coming the other way.

Benzema is the man Louis van Gaal reportedly wants to build his attack around next season.

Tottenham legend Gary Lineker has been quoted by ESPN suggesting Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney is among the best ever to play for England.

Rooney looks set to become England’s greatest ever goalscorer at some point in the future, currently on 47 goals.

Lineker is backing the front man to overtake his tally (48) and that of Sir Bobby Charlton (49).

“For him to score that many goals [47] at a good ratio makes him one of our very best players,” he said.

The Daily Mail has reported that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants to help Radamel Falcao rediscover his best form.

Chelsea are being linked with a loan move for the Colombian forward, who struggled in United colours last season.

United are thought to be against the idea of keeping Falcao at Old Trafford for another season.
