Leeds United have tied down the future of another promising young player so what did their fans have to say about it?
It has been another busy day at Leeds United, with not only the signing of Motherwell striker Lee Erwin but also with Kalvin Phillips putting pen to paper on a new contract.
Phillips becomes the latest in an increasingly long line of youngsters that have agreed new deals at Elland Road in recent days, and given his reputation at the club it is a huge boost for new manager Uwe Rosler.
Phillips is one of the brightest prospects at a club full of such players right now, and after making his Leeds debut last season he will no doubt be hoping to continue that progress under his new boss.
The 19-year-old played against both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cardiff City, scoring in the latter match against the Bluebirds, and next up is the challenge of featuring regularly in a midfield that already contains the likes of Lewis Cook and Alex Mowatt.
After the news that Phillips had signed his new deal we took to Twitter to see what Leeds fans thought and you can find a selection of what we found below…along with the reactions from a couple of the teenager’s teammates:
@Kalvinphillips can't wait to see you progress, you'll only get better and better! All Leeds aren't we??— Hazza (@harryshillito1) June 10, 2015
