The Sky Sports presenter has given his verdict on West Ham and Newcastle's new managers.
Sky Sports pundit John Salako took to Twitter on Wednesday night in response to the Premier League's latest managerial appointments - and his verdict will please West Ham United fans more than it will those of Newcastle United.
Indeed, West Ham announced Croat Slaven Bilic as their new boss on Tuesday afternoon, with the 46-year-old having played for the east London club as a defender in the past.
Newcastle, meanwhile, hired Steve McClaren on Wednesday afternoon, with their new coach recently sacked from Championship side Derby County.
And Salako was decidedly more impressed with one appointment than the other on social media:
Bilic to W. Ham, Good choice. Strong, passionate and knows the game. Will be his own man. McLaren to Newcastle, wish him well but?????— John Salako (@JohnSalako) June 10, 2015
Both coaches will have a lot to prove, of course. Bilic has never managed in the Premier League, while McClaren's name has become a little too synonymous with failure.
Bilic and McClaren will also face one common difficulty in their jobs: a fan-base that demands only the best.
The West Ham faithful had grown tired of Sam Allardyce's spell at the club and will be willing their new boss to take the club further. And Newcastle supporters will want nothing more than an end to the mediocrity that has infested the Magpies in recent years.
