The Senegalese defender has also been linked with a move to Bournemouth.
Celtic are in need of a new centre-back this summer. Jason Denayer's loan spell from Manchester City has come to an end whilst Virgil van Dijk has made it clear that he would like to leave this summer.
One name that has been mentioned is Nantes defender Papy Mison Djilobodji. Foot 365 Mercato reported in May that The Bhoys were keen on the player - whose contract expires in 2016.
Celtic are not alone in his pursuit. It has also been reported that AFC Bournemouth want him. It was reported they had met with Nantes to discuss a deal.
Now the player himself has spoken out. Unfortunately for Celtic and Bournemouth it seems he has his heart set on a move elsewhere.
He is quoted by Europe-Mercato as stating he prefers the idea of a move to Italy or Germany:
"My favorite is the Bundesliga championships or the Italian championship."
Celtic and Bournemouth seem to have a real challenge then convincing the 27-year-old Senegalese international to head to Great Britain.
Germany and Italy appear to be his preferred destinations and should a team from wither nation make a move expect him to be there next season.
