The two Tottenham youngsters will battle it out as the United States take on Milos Veljkovic's Serbia on Saturday.

Tottenham duo Cameron Carter-Vickers and Milos Velkjovic are set to face each other after both countries won their last-16 matches in U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.

Carter-Vickers' US side secured a great result to beat Colombia 1-0, after a goal from FC Utrecht forward Rubio Rubin. The Spurs defender again played the full 90 minutes, with Arsenal's Gedion Zelalem and Fulham's Emerson Hyndman also involved.

The North Americans will come up against Serbia, who won their own knockout match against Hungary in dramatic scenes. With Velkjovic in their lineup, the Balkan outfit equalised in injury time at the end of the second half, before Hungarian Attila Talaber conceded a devastating own goal in the 118th minute.

The two Spurs prospects are now due to meet in Saturday's quarter final between the two countries, having played every minute of their country's campaign in New Zealand.

Aside from the two defenders, the club's Nigerian prodigy Musa Yahaya is also still in the competition, meaning there is plenty of interest from White Hart Lane in what happens in the tournament, though the Flying Eagles have a tough task to make the next round, as they are scheduled to face Germany on Thursday.
