Top Five: Transfers that need to happen - featuring Manchester United and Arsenal

Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City have all got players they need to sign.

The transfer window is upon us, and every club has players they want to sign.

However, every now and then a transfer comes about that needs to be completed for the interest club to move forward, and progress in the search for success.

This summer is no different, and with all the reported transfer deals that are taking place, there are some that must be completed for the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal to seriously challenge for the Premier League title.

We take a look at five rumours that must become reality for their respective clubs.

Manchester United to sign Petr Cech

It looks as if David De Gea is set to leave United, and whilst Hugo Lloris would be a good signing, Cech is the player who could set them up for Premier League success. Similar to when the Red Devils signed Edwin van der Sar, Cech is an experienced stopper who is sure to provide top level talent for a number of years.

Arsenal to sign Arturo Vidal

Arsenal may have won the FA Cup, and possess an attacking force to be desired, but they still don’t have that one world class midfielder to take them to the next level. Vidal, long linked with a move to the Premier League, is that player, and signing him would make the Gunners serious title contenders.

Liverpool to sign Alexandre Lacazette

Liverpool may have signed James Milner and Danny Ings, but the need for a consistent goalscoring striker is evident. Lacazette has proven his talent in Ligue 1, and not only would he help the Reds return to the Champions League, but his goals would pave the way for potential Premier League success.

Tottenham Hotspur to sign a new goalkeeper, a new defence and new striker

Spurs may have finished fourth, but they have some serious work that needs doing on their squad this summer. Hugo Lloris sounds like he is going to leave, meaning a new goalkeeper is needed, whilst solidifying the defence and signing competition for Harry Kane will be vital. They may have already completed one deal, but Spurs cannot be finished yet.

Manchester City to sign Raheem Sterling

Sterling looks set to leave Liverpool, and City is the most logical move - if they allow him to play. He is English to fulfil homegrown quotas, whilst he has proven his talent time and time again in the Premier League. City are the most likely club to offer Liverpool an adequate transfer fee for him, and the Manchester club should go all out to sign the talented attacker.
