HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan on a free transfer.
Bogdan is out of contract at the Macron Stadium and has turned down the offer of a new deal to remain with Neil Lennon's men.
The Hungary international impressed Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers during an FA Cup tie last season, putting in a man of the match display during a goalless draw at Anfield.
Liverpool are looking for a new goalkeeper after Brad Jones was informed that he would not be getting a new deal when his current deal expired.
Bogdan is understood to have agreed a two-year deal at Anfield after holding talks with the club last week.
The 27-year-old is expected to complete the move to Anfield after international duty with Hungary next week.
Bogdan will become Liverpool's third signing of the summer following the arrival of James Milner from Manchester City and Danny Ings from Burnley – both at the end of their respective deals with previous employers.
