West Ham fans respond to Jack Sullivan’s claim about a ‘major’ signing

West Ham United are set to make their second signing of the summer this week.

West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan’s son has revealed on social networking site Twitter that the club will sign a major player this week.

Jack Sullivan posted the following message on Twitter on Monday, adding that he will inform the Hammers fans once the signing is complete.

Premier League outfit West Ham have been busy in the transfer market so far and have already made their first signing of the summer.

Goalkeeper Darren Randolph will officially move to the London outfit on a free transfer next month when his current contract with Championship club Birmingham City runs out.

Last month, West Ham co-chairman David Gold reiterated on Twitter that there will be at least five new players in the squad next season.

These are promising times for the Hammers, who are aiming to make themselves regulars in Europe in the coming years.

Sullivan’s revelation that the second signing of the summer will be that of a “major player” has increased expectations among the West Ham fans, many of whom replied to his tweet.
