HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Slaven Bilic is set to be named West Ham United's new manager today.
West Ham have been looking for a new manager since Sam Allardyce left the club minutes after the club's Premier League game of the season at Newcastle.
A number of names, including Marseille's Marcelo Bielsa, Rafa Benitez, Jurgen Klopp and Sevilla's Unai Emery have been linked with succeeding Allardyce, but the club have now narrowed down their search.
The club said in a statement on Monday that they were closing in on a new manager and they have plumped for Bilic.
Bilic is available having left Besiktas at the end of the season and he has never hidden his desire to manage in the Premier League one day.
Bilic is thought to have impressed co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold during talks over the position and they feel he is the right man to take the club forward.
Croatian Bilic would be a popular choice among West Ham fans to replace Allardyce having played for the club for an 18-month spell between 1997-98.
