During his professional wrestling career, CM Punk was renowned as someone who wouldn't take crap from anyone and would stand up for what he believed were his rights and those of his peers.
Hulk Hogan, on the other hand, was regarded as one of the most shrewd politicians the business has ever seen, often manipulating the outcomes of matches to suit him to the detriment of the company overall.
So, it is not a surprise that Punk and Hogan may have never been on each other's Christmas card list but no one expected a feud between them to begin on Twitter, and for it to be about Ice Hockey!
In a video on a news channel, Punk referred to Hogan as a 'piece of garbage', as reported by Wrestling Inc, and taunted that the Blackhawks would win the play-off.
Hogan has obviously seen the footage and took to Twitter to reply, poking fun at Punk leaving the WWE in the manner he did:
Like I said the Blackhawks are in a whole lot of trouble, they should take their puck"punk" and go home,CM can show them the way brother HH— Hulk Hogan (@HulkHogan) June 9, 2015
Not someone to take an insult lying down, Punk duly responded with this:
You mispronounced the team captains name and didn't even know the coaches name. You're a hack.Shut the fuck up or I'll wreck you @HulkHogan— Coach (@CMPunk) June 9, 2015
Hilarious as it is, this feud seems genuine, personal and as if it just needed a reason to happen. The result of the Tampa Bay vs Chicago Stanley Cup play-off game will be all the more interesting now!
