On Monday, the former Swansea City boss’s representative posted the following messages on Twitter:

Laudrup, a Barcelona and Real Madrid great, has been in charge of Qatari club Lekhwiya since the summer of 2014.
The former Denmark international attacker led Lekhwiya to a league and cup double in his very first season.
According to a report in The Guardian last month, the 50-year-old was a candidate for the Newcastle job.
The Telegraph claimed on Sunday that West Ham were still interested in the services of Laudrup despite holding talks with Slaven Bilic.
However, it now seems that the former Getafe and Real Mallorca coach will not be available anytime soon, as he is set to continue at Lekhwiya.
Laudrup led Welsh outfit Swansea to League Cup success in the 2012-13 season.
