United fans react on Twitter to Fellaini's two-goal performance against France

Marouane Fellaini had a great game for Belgium at the weekend so what did Manchester United fans have to say about it?

Manchester United player Marouane Fellaini has enjoyed something of a renaissance at Old Trafford this season, going from much-maligned under former manager David Moyes to vital under his successor Louis van Gaal.

No more do United fans bemoan the £27.5million signing as a waste of money; instead they celebrate every time he hits the back of the net or puts in another fine display.

Fellaini may not be the best midfielder in the world, but he fits van Gaal’s current style at United perfectly and without him they may not have finished in the top four.

The former Everton player was at it again this weekend, scoring two goals and setting up another in Belgium’s 4-3 victory against France.

The United star scored with a close-range effort and a wonderful header to put his country 2-0 up and it was only a couple of late consolation goals from France that ultimately softened what was still a humiliating defeat.

After the match we took to Twitter to see what United fans thought of Fellaini’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
