Sevilla step up their bid for Premier League target Yevhen Konoplyanka

Stoke City, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have all been strongly linked with the Ukraine international, but Yevhen Konoplyanka is now top of the Sevilla shopping list.

Out of contract with Dnipro, it seems half of Europe is keen to grab a bargain with the signing of Ukraine star Yevhen Konoplyanka, with a wealth of speculation circulating about which club he'll eventually choose this summer.

In England, there's plenty of competition to sign the 25-year-old winger, with Stoke City refusing to concede defeat in their chase - The Sentinal have insisted - even amidst rival interest from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports Italia claim that Lazio and Roma are locked in a cross-city battle for Konoplyanka, aiming to lure him to the Serie A for the 2014-15 season.

However, keen to beat all to the signature of Konoplyanka are Sevilla, who are confident that nothing can stand in the way of them landing their number one target, according to Estadio Deportivo.

Whilst in the past, Sevilla haven't been able to compete economically for players, once Premier League clubs have tabled rival bids, the Andaluz club can now count on a significantly improved budget, ahead of competing in the Champions League in the upcoming season.

Gerard Deulofeu and Stephane M'Bia don't feature in the plans for next season, meaning their salaries are available to be spent elsewhere in the Sevilla squad budget. Likewise, the huge profit made on selling Aleix Vidal to Barcelona, also provides an additional boost to funds.

Along with a tempting financial offer, Sevilla are prepared to include a reasonably priced release clause valuation, as part of their contract offer for Konoplyanka. They're also confident the image their club presented against Dnipro, in the Europa League final, could also match his ambitions.

As such, Sevilla currently see themselves as favourites to win the race for Konoplyanka, and everything points to them pulling out all the stops, to get their man.
