HITC Sport understands Preston's flying winger Chris Humphrey is set to sign a new deal at Deepdale.
HITC Sport understands Preston's Jamaica winger Chris Humphrey has agreed a new long-term deal at the Championship new boys.
Humphrey is out of contract this summer and a number of clubs, including Scottish champions Celtic, were thought to be monitoring his situation, according to sources such as the Express.
However, Preston have moved quickly to tie down the winger to a new long-term deal and end speculation over his future.
The 27-year-old has established himself as a key figure in Simon Grayson's side since arriving on a free transfer from Motherwell in the summer of 2013.
Humphrey made 56 appearances in all competitions last season for Preston and scored five goals as the club secured promotion to the Championship, via the play-offs after a 4-0 victory over Swindon at the final at Wembley.
News of Humphrey's new deal will come as a welcome boost to Grayson as he looks to keep his best players at the club as he plans for next season back in the second tier of English football
