Arsenal have commemorated their 2015 FA Cup victory by adding a banner to their many other renowned successes inside the Emirates Stadium.
It was a fitting end to the season, and a triumph Arsene Wenger’s side thoroughly deserved after they displayed title-winning form since the turn of the New Year.
Striker Theo Walcott opened the scoring in the first half, before a long-range Alex Sanchez rocket and further strikes from Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud put the icing on the cake.
Significantly, their FA Cup victory was the Gunners’ 12th throughout their illustrious history, making them the competition's most successful team.
To celebrate, first a rather eventful open-top bus parade through the streets of North London ensued and now a commemorative banner has a permanent spot at the Emirates in recognition of their success.
There is plenty more space inside the 60,432 arena at Ashburton Grove to add more competition winning banners, and the big one which has eluded them since their stadium move is a Premier League title.
