Liverpool to reportedly sign Adam Bogdan on a free transfer

Liverpool are allegedly closing in on yet more transfer business as they look to strengthen their squad quickly but effectively this summer.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Liverpool will follow up their signings of James Milner and Danny Ings with the free transfer of Adam Bogdan from Bolton Wanderers.

The same report claims the Reds have distanced themselves from claims they are interested in Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic while there is said to be no truth in the rumours linking them with a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb.

But back to Bogdan, who is coming to the end of his contract at Championship side Bolton and will reportedly become the third signing of what looks like being a busy summer at Anfield.

The 27-year-old has played 120 times for Bolton and he is also a Hungarian international who has featured 19 times for his country to date.

With Brad Jones leaving Liverpool this summer the club were always likely to move for a new back-up stopper to Simon Mignolet, even with the presence of up-and-coming ‘keeper Danny Ward, and now it seems that player is Bogdan.

Given his age and his talent, if he did arrive at the club he would not simply make do with a place on the bench and Mignolet could be about to face a fresh challenge that is likely to keep both players on their toes for the entire campaign.
